Charlie and David

David spent most of his professional life as owner/operator of specialist recruitment companies in the U.K., Australia and the Far East. Following a life-threatening experience in 2006, David decided to quit with the corporate arena and embark on a long-awaited change of career. David discovered his love of sailing in California in 1980 and has since sailed in both Australia and South Africa. As well as holding various sailing qualifications, he also holds a pilots license, as flying is one of his other hobbies along with skiing and most other sports.

Charlie grew up in her native Canada before emigrating to the U.K. some 25 years ago. Charlie is an easy-going individual who is blessed with a great personality and an eagerness to help others. Her upbringing in an Italian neighbourhood in Toronto, and a stint in the Middle East, helps her to produce superb Italian and Asian cuisine.
